Same has happened to me to. WTF is going on over there? At least I wansn't out $, and had a free CD for the hassle. I was quite reluctant to shell out $$ for a decent size order on Black Friday thinking this would be the case. Thankfully, they came through, and I got some pretty nice additions to the collection for a pittance.

Look at their feedback. For example: that POS "moonenites" that wants $350 for a red copy. He has some negative feedaback from a customer that never got their record. It might be a stretch, but the buyer's name is visible. If they're willing to give up some contact info, you might have a shot. I also hate this guy because he seems to snatch up Mondo posters to flip as well. A perfect example of why those sell out so quickly only to go right to ebay

You can always ask for a rider on your policy specifically for your record collection. Typically its calculated on the dollar amount of the total collection and reasonably inexpensive. Insurance companies are gonna be a lot more lenient paying out if you went throught the trouble to buy the rider on your renters/homeowners policy. You'll have to inventory and 'approximate' values for everything, which could be tedious, but if the worst case scenario ever happened, you'd be in a MUCH BETTER bargaining position. I have one on my guitar collection and wouldn't chance never having one. If you can afford nice things, you should be able to insure them as well. IIRC, on my guitar collection its something like $.75 per $100 annually. So my music gear at ~$20K runs ~$150 or so a year to insure. Or about the cost of one good effects pedal. However, it goes up dramatically for *professional* use. Something like $2.50-$3 per 100 from my insurer. For that reason I'll only keep insured as professional whatever I'm using in my current rig, and if the band breaks up, I'm off to amend the policy!

I'd also love to see the Collective Soul catalog pressed on vinyl. Sadly, the only LP they put out was Disciplined Breakdown, not my favoite of the bunch, and more than I'd like to pay on the used market $$$

No, never. Surprising, since it was a 1996 release, there was still a lot of vinyl being pressed then, albeit in a declining market. This album sold a zillion copies too. If it were out there....I'd pay for it. Like Counting Crows OG press pay for it. That bad.
