  2. have you ever seen them live? i've loved p.tm for 3 years now and i've seen them live three times this year. it's just, you need to see them. i love them even more after seeing them live. it's a totally different experience. and they are a band that changes with every record. the first record is more electronics, beats and the second is like you're back to the 50s with muddy waters, it's very groovy and the latest record you could listen to all the time, it's timeless.
  3. http://vimeo.com/2242557 there's one show that sounds better and one that's shittier than this show. yeah exactly or just use the real tracks.
  4. This week I'll be making a proper trailer, so look out for it. For now, something a lil' experimental http://vimeo.com/2363487 I made this a while ago, I've become a lot better at editing.
  5. It differs. Most of the stuff is really good/perfect, but sometimes the bass is flaring up yeah.. that's cuz school fucked me, they gave me a shitty camera one time.
  6. Was it a multi-cam shoot? No, but that is why every show was shot differently.
  7. 12 hours isn't very much footage at all. I usually like lots of live footage--complete songs--maybe intercut with interviews. I have three complete live shows, with backstage footage, interview footage, sound check footage. I spent three days with them, I think it's enough for a nice little documentary.
  8. So I'm busy editing right now and this is going to be my first HUGE project. I've never made anything longer than 10 minutes. So I was wondering what you guys think is interesting or whatever to have in a documentary about a band?! I have 12 hours of footage, so yeah.. a shitload to choose from.
  9. Gatsby's American Dream - Shhhhhh! I'm Listening To Reason One of my favorites.
  10. Volcano is my favorite. I made this thread to somehow convince Virgil that people would buy Gatsby vinyl, so he would maybe release it.
  11. Virgil wrote this back in 2006.. "As of late, we have been focusing a lot of our attention on releasing limited edition vinyl. I love vinyl and feel that as CD sales continue to decline, the world will always have vinyl collectors. I looked around all over the place to find a reasonably priced manufacturer that has heavy duty vinyl. I found that in Recordpressing.com. The staff is really organized and friendly and they press their records on really high quality vinyl. They can do picture discs, crazy colored vinyl, and they also take care of all of your printing needs. They pressed the Drag the River vinyl for us and will also be taking care of our pressings for the Every Time I Die vinyl box set, the Fear Before the March of Flames double vinyl, and the Gatsbys American Dream double vinyl. I can’t say enough about how happy I am to have found these guys and if you are ever looking to press vinyl, these are your guys." While all the other vinyl has been released, the Gatsby's American Dream hasn't. I asked Virgil about this and he said: "it is hard to sell records for bands that don't exist. maybe one day though. " If he would release some Gatsby vinyl. Who would buy it? I definitely would!
