The day has finally arrived!

Today on Discogs I grabbed a copy of Hymn Of The Greatest Generation on cloudy clear vinyl for a very cheap price from the US, 16$ international shipping included.
They have already relisted it if someone is interested http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/275795768
Then I checked how much it is on Hello Merch and that's the discovery.
There's a new press of Hymn on cream with light grey splatter.
No pressing info or preview available but the variant sounds nice to me and I could't resist.
Since I was there I grabbed a copy of Waking Season on forest green which is also very cool and made the shipping affordable.

BY THE WAY - FOR THOSE NEEDING A TOUR COPY...
I'll be catching these dudes in Omaha a week from Wednesday... I'll gladly pick up as many copies as needed for you guys. Since I fly out for Portland that Friday, I can get down hard on packaging them all up and have them in the post by Thursday the 1st.
With this timeline existing, I'm only going to be able to offer this to folks who can actually send over the cash prior to the show on the 30th.

P.S. If you're requesting a copy to be shipped overseas... I'm really good at getting secure mailers pieced together and I've yet to ever have an issue with a record I've sent. Mind you, there's always a chance for the postal services to fuck things up. So risk is there nonetheless.

Yesss. Are you riding up to Seattle with us?
I've got to work out some further details. How many of you are riding together? How many seats available? If need be, I'll rent a car and we can all trek up together
My twin sister lives in Portland and my good buddy from home is flying up from California (he used to live outside Seattle) so it'll require us to probably opt out of riding with you guys given the space aspect. Not an issue! We'll definitely all meet up in Portland for a drink or whatever, trek up to Seattle together, and party hard once we're there! -

I wish they would just re-record it, with all the old school equipment of analog yester-year, and those dudes with magic fingers and ears - like drummers Aaron Harris and Chris Common mixing, mastering, etc. But that will never happen.
I think Derek's first post on my WTB thread warned that the 1st press of this 'sounds like balls' - and it really does. I listen to 2nd press Gold and it's not bad, but after hearing them Live, I wonder if any recording could do it justice.
Side note: 2nd press YATC Black is one the more quiet records I own re: any surface noise and also feel like it's a very good representation of the Live experience.
I've spoken to the guys about Tertia... they know that record didn't come out sounding the way they wanted. Mention has been made that they plan to rerecord this one. I'm sure this will eventually happen... soon enough

Oh dude I may totally jump on that ride to Seattle!! My twin sister lives in Portland so I've got a place to crash but she may, or may not, be able to go up for Seattle so I'd been considering methods to get up there if she can't. This could be perfect! Consider that seat sold!!

Might be making a few shows on this tour. Yet to see Thrice live (I know, WTF?!?!) but the good dudes of Gates I must catch up with!! If all works out, I'll gladly take on as much support as I can to get copies out to people here! Cheers!!
