Finally out today and shipping! 2 amazing bands come together for this killer split 7". I asked Todd a couple of years ago about doing a record, greatness takes time. Both bands make some of the most heartfelt music out there, it doesn't matter what crap I write, you should buy this record because it's everything a record should be. Toys That Kill' should need no introduction, formed out of the ashes of FYP. For me, everything Todd Congelliere touches turns to gold. This song, which clocks in at over 4 minutes is no different, 'This Cult Is Way Off' is their first new song since last years 'Fambly 42' album. Future Virgins are maybe the best of the Chattanooga bands (for me) and that's saying something. 2 killer songs, their first new stuff since 'Western Problems', this band can do no wrong. Hook laden, melodic pop perfection, Future Virgins' steal hearts. Scrappy, melodic garagepunk from Las Cruces, NM. Members of The Marked Men and Shang-A-Lang. In late 2011, when it was clear that Shang-A-Lang was coming to an end, Chris asked Sam and Cade (of Total Jock) if they wanted to start a new band. Low Culture practiced a few times as a three-piece, but a few weeks later Joe (Marked Men/Shang-A-Lang) moved back to Las Cruces and joined the band. Low Culture’s first show was in early November 2011 was at Shang-A-Lang’s last show and the band’s been moving full steam ahead ever since. With a few short regional trips and a tour of the Northeast and Canada with Iron Chic in support of their debut 7” under their belt, they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Low Culture plays catchy garage punk that while not far removed from some of the member’s previous project, Shang-A-Lang, has a lot less emphasis on riffs and blown out recordings, and more emphasis on melody and crisp (while not necessarily “over-produced”) recordings. Produced by Mark Ryan (Marked Men/Mind Spiders) in Fort Worth, mastered by Dave Williams (Crusades, Steve Adamyk Band) in Ottawa. This is their 2nd 7” after their debut lp for Dirtnap Records just came out a few weeks ago and was released for their recent European tour. This is a split label release between Drunken sailor records and cut The Cord That....Records Comes with download code Stream it here http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/evil-7 Buy it here http://www.drunkensailorrecords.co.uk/products/513196-low-culture-evil-7-drunken-sailor-records-drunken-sailor-025

Awesome! Yeah US people, grab it from Rad Girlfriend, amazing people and label -
Originally released on CD only in 2006, Drunken Sailor Records (UK) and Rad Girlfriend (US) give this album the vinyl reissue it deserves. Amazing Pop-Punk featuring Lou Hanman (now of Caves), this album is incredible. Razorcake review "I’m just gonna come out and say it. Louise Hanman from Flamingo 50 is my favorite singer in the whole world. Her adolescent-boyish shout, and thick Liverpool accent spread smoothly over her band’s noisy-guitar, Superchunky power pop to make this perfect little nugget, like Oliver Twist just after he eats a paper cone of French fries with mayonnaise. Seriously though, this album is awesome. It’s a little more polished than their last full length; not sonically, but from a songwriting perspective. The record is awash in layered guitars, Beach Boys-inspired backing vocals, and an incredible warmth that only some magic mixing board wizard knows how to attain. This album is in ultra-heavy rotation on my player. –ben" Stream it here http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/tear-it-up-lp Buy it here http://drunkensailorrecords.limitedrun.com/products/512777-flamingo-50-tear-it-up-lp-drunken-sailor-records-drunken-sailor-020 First 40 on Blue vinyl, rest on black.

Out now and up in the store The debut 7" from Baby Ghosts. From Utah, this female fronted Garage/ Pop band release. in my opinion, one of the best debut 7"s for a long time. From the first time I heard the songs I was hooked, infectious tunes and melodies, sometimes reminiscent of Go Sailor but with a more Garage feel. Released On Drunken Sailor Records and Lost Cat Records (US), 500 on Black Vinyl, small amount on Green Vinyl. Comes with Download Card. Stream the Record here http://drunkensailorrecords.bandcamp.com/album/ghost-in-a-vacuum-7 As usual buy the Vinyl here http://www.drunkensailorrecords.co.uk/products/512321-baby-ghosts-ghost-in-a-vacuum-7-drunken-sailor-records-drunkensailor-024
