I'm trying to make a vinyl list on google docs, like a lot of people have.
However when I use the link to show people my list, the table is not there.
Here's my list http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgq322tk_0c8gfbh
Does anyone know why this is happening? It shows the table when I'm editing it.

I like the idea of Virgil saying "here you go, Jeff, you have these test pressings!"... oh, and then sending them to me. That's important.
- Jeff
Haha, ditto. But instead of Jeff, make it Kyle!
-
we have done various things with them and up to this point, we have never sold them. We will be doing some contests in the future with some of the test pressings and are considering putting up a few for sale.
I was actually going through a tub of old test pressings and thought that I should do something cool to get rid of some of them.
stay tuned!
Sounds awesome!

Elliott Smith (solo stuff and Heatmiser)

Hey Virgil,
I was curious as to what you do with the test presses of the albums you press.
Do you keep them? Do you sell them to people who offer you a price for them? Or is it something else you do with them?

I set myself a budget of $50 a month. So far, in six months, I'm about $800 over budget.
So much for the budget, hahaha.

I just started collecting less than two months ago and I already have bought 30 records. I'm thinking I'm going to have to slow down the pace a bit so I can save up for a car and college.

The Appleseed Cast - The End of the Ring Wars
Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha
Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

Do I just got back from PA. I went to Double Decker Records which was only like 10 minutes away from my hotel. I was very happy with their selection.
I picked up:
The Appleseed Cast - The End of the Ring Wars
Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha
Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
-
Have either of you heard of Double Decker Records? Is it a record label or a record store? It came up on yellowpages when I was looking for record stores.
-
Hopefully I can make it to Philly.

So I'm going to Allentown, PA this weekend and I was wondering if anyone knew of any record stores around there.
-
So my record store through in a free copy of Modest Mouse - King Rat 7" when I was buying some vinyl there this weekend. So I go home to play it and after it starts playing I realized that they put the label on wrong. King Rat was playing when I went to play Fire It Up and Fire It Up was playinh when I wanted to play King Rat. So they obviously put the label on wrong.
So I have 2 questions:
1. Does anyone have this record and is yours mislabeled as well?
2. Does this happen occasionally? with record pressings?
-
Does anybody have this on vinyl and want to rub it in that I don't?
-
Elliott Smith - New Moon 2xLP
Elliott Smith - Elliott Smith
The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger (on transparent orange)
Weird Al - Selections from Straight Out of Lynwood
My record store also gave me 4 free 7" 's which included
Modest Mouse - King Rat (on it is King Rat and Fire it Up)
Elvis Costello (includes Welcome to the Working Week (Demo) and previously unreleased Lovers Walk
The Section Quartet (includes Juicebox and Heartbreaker)
Eastern Conference Champions - Home (includes Noah and Navy)

Does anyone know if Limbeck is carrying their vinyl along with The Format while on this tour?
-
Comeback Kid also states what color the limited edition is.
-
its back duders
Beat me to it.
-
Oh fuck. I'm thinking mint green to go with the artwork. Please update if you see any pressing info anywhere.
- Jeff
I'll keep an eye out.

This is now up on victory. Now if only I knew which color was the rare one for TAYF.

the virgin megastore in nyc, being one of the largest record stores ive ever been in, only has about two shelves, each about 3ft wide, of vinyl. they do have some cool stuff, but its difficult for me to shell out $30+ for a foo fighters record or coldplay. them majors always find a way to make it so i dont want to buy their crap.
if you ever end up in nyc, go to Generation Records on 210 Thompson street. its right by Washington Square park and they have a shitload of new and used vinyl. its the best place i know of in the city to pick up vinyl.
I went to Generation Records like 2-3 week ago. That place is great. I was so mad that I only had like 60 bucks on me. However, I plan to visit that place every time I go into the city.
-
I hope I can get my hands on the color.

I bought the orange for $35 at my record store about 2 weeks ago.
