  1. we have done various things with them and up to this point, we have never sold them. We will be doing some contests in the future with some of the test pressings and are considering putting up a few for sale.

I was actually going through a tub of old test pressings and thought that I should do something cool to get rid of some of them.

    stay tuned!

    Sounds awesome!

  2. Do I just got back from PA. I went to Double Decker Records which was only like 10 minutes away from my hotel. I was very happy with their selection.

    I picked up:

The Appleseed Cast - The End of the Ring Wars

    Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha

Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island

    Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

  3. So my record store through in a free copy of Modest Mouse - King Rat 7" when I was buying some vinyl there this weekend. So I go home to play it and after it starts playing I realized that they put the label on wrong. King Rat was playing when I went to play Fire It Up and Fire It Up was playinh when I wanted to play King Rat. So they obviously put the label on wrong.

    So I have 2 questions:

    1. Does anyone have this record and is yours mislabeled as well?

    2. Does this happen occasionally? with record pressings?

  4. Elliott Smith - New Moon 2xLP

    Elliott Smith - Elliott Smith

The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow

Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger (on transparent orange)

Weird Al - Selections from Straight Out of Lynwood

My record store also gave me 4 free 7" 's which included

Modest Mouse - King Rat (on it is King Rat and Fire it Up)

Elvis Costello (includes Welcome to the Working Week (Demo) and previously unreleased Lovers Walk

The Section Quartet (includes Juicebox and Heartbreaker)

Eastern Conference Champions - Home (includes Noah and Navy)

  5. the virgin megastore in nyc, being one of the largest record stores ive ever been in, only has about two shelves, each about 3ft wide, of vinyl. they do have some cool stuff, but its difficult for me to shell out $30+ for a foo fighters record or coldplay. them majors always find a way to make it so i dont want to buy their crap.

if you ever end up in nyc, go to Generation Records on 210 Thompson street. its right by Washington Square park and they have a shitload of new and used vinyl. its the best place i know of in the city to pick up vinyl.

I went to Generation Records like 2-3 week ago. That place is great. I was so mad that I only had like 60 bucks on me. However, I plan to visit that place every time I go into the city.
