  1. Hi all, For 25 years I've been hunting down and buying records to try and recreate my favorite House Music mixtape from 1993/4. I simply can’t identify my last (and favorite) few tracks on the tape and I really need some help. I've uploaded one to YouTube (advanced apologies for the poor sound quality but the tape is old): https://youtu.be/1TKO-pgmKFA If you could provide me with any details from track title, artist, producer, record label etc I would be very, very grateful. Many thanks.
  2. I’ve started a new kind of web shop & subscription service that features vinyl records from a list of handpicked exciting and under the radar ambient / drone / house / techno record labels. Interested in giving it a try & getting your first box of vinyl records for free? What you get: Get a surprise box of vinyl records, delivered right to your front, once per month. Each box includes 1 new limited edition LP + 1 EP. I'll send you mainly ambient, drone, house or techno records from small record labels worth checking out. First month is free, I’ll only ask you to cover the shipping fees. How to join: Send an email to [email protected] and I’ll reply back to learn more about your preferences. You can also message me here on vinyl collective or sign-up here Why I started it: I've been a longtime record collector and I love electronic music, particularly ambient, drone, house and techno music. The problem is that If you don’t live near a decent record shop and can’t afford to jump in your car and drive 200 km to the closest one just to pick a record or two, then there's only one option left: to buy records online. Unfortunately, most online stores have way too much music listed and it’s way too time consuming to filter the junk from the good stuff. That Special Record not only wants to make online crate digging a less painful process, we want to make it a nicer and more personal experience.

  4. from bleep: Delicious second album from Portsmouth, UK producer Leon Vynehall. Dropping on Gerd Jansen’s Running Back imprint, Vynehall spreads his wings to fly with the Deep House Gods (apparently the record is inspired by the mating rituals of Birds). This is 4/4 music rooted in the studio (live syncopated drums, gritty analogue synthesis, tape-hiss-haze, bumping bass pressure) but reaching higher and higher: like all great house music aspires. Vynehall has the gift (think contemporaries, DJ Sprinkles, Floating Points, Theo Parrish) to give house music that something extra, undefined – spiritual… Rojus Designed To Dance is coming to a club near you Spring, Summer and beyond. Whether you like it or not. And you will like it. available for preorder from good chunk of US/UK distros, but cheapest i found was $21.58 shipped from amoeba with "rack6" discount code (10% off) 1 minute 30 sec samples from album here: https://www.pbvinyl.com/products/leon-vynehall-rojus-designed-to-dance-double-ep full track "kiburu's" from new album here: https://soundcloud.com/vynehall/kiburus
