  1. Hey everyone, it's been a while. Just wanted to pop in and let you know that there is a new Deadhorse album available now. Here are some details! Band - Deadhorse Album - Crescendo Tracklist: 1. There is an entire line of merch to go with the new album. Shirts, dad hats, stickers, patches, a manifesto, and more. There are also 2 limited edition CD versions of We Can Create Our Own World and Decay available - these are in silkscreened packaging with expanded liner notes, a special print version we're doing for our China tour this fall. EXPLANATION: This is a different kind of album. You are not going to find songs that are full bodied and overflowing with content. There is a time and a place for that, but not here. You are also not listening to background sounds. This isn’t an ambient soundscape meant to soothe or evoke an abstract. This is an album that comes from a place of exhaustion. This is an album that comes from a place of confusion. This is an album that comes from a place of defeat, fear and anger. These are intentionally minimal arrangements inspired by the current downward spiral of modern civilization. The expression captured within these simple melodies is just as important as the silence between each note. It is encouraged that you listen to this album in the quietest setting you can find yourself at the loudest available volume. 2. If you don't know who Arthur Russell is, basically he's a guy that dabbled in electronic, disco, ambient, classical, hip-hop and conventional singer/songwriter type stuff in the 80s and early 90s. He died in 1992 and left hundreds of tape reels and DAT tapes worth of music, so most of his material has been released posthumously, and every collection is different than the others. This album is made up of some very experimental minimalist recordings consisting mostly of just cello and vocals, with lots of reverb and delay. Basically the dopest shit ever, one of my favorite albums, and it just got issued on vinyl for the first time: Cheapest I was able to find stateside is from Experimedia. Roughly $30 ppd, well worth it considering how quick his stuff goes out of print: http://experimedia.net/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&cPath=1&products_id=9617 Link for Euros (direct from the label): http://arclighteditions.bigcartel.com/product/arthur-russell-i-another-thought-i This is one of the songs from the album, one of his more well known songs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjzsnNkL-7o Another track:
