DukeOfTheEast
I recently bought a Carbon, and I think the amp I am going to buy is the Yamaha A-S500. The next big question for me is speakers. Amazon has Polk 75Ts listed at 250/speaker and I am wondering if using two of these guys with the A-S500 is a viable option, because I can't seem to find much information about this particular set-up. From my research, it seems like all my components would work together well, but I am in need of advice from someone with a bit more knowledge than myself. Thank you!! steviex2shoes
Based on the on paper info they'll work well together. Whether or not it sounds the best it possibly can will be what your ears think. If that's where you're leaning I'd say go for it, if you have the ability to go to a store and test them out that would be the best option, if not I think you'd be alright with them
Tardcore
price seems out of whack for those speakers. watch prices on Newegg or set an alert on slickdeals. You should be able to save at least ~$100 on the pair. I should add that used to use the older version of those speaker (monitor 70s) and I do not really recommend them for music. Your $400-$500 is better spent elsewhere. steviex2shoes
