yeah_totally
this is probably a basic question but i have an old Fisher Studio Standard MT-911 turntable and have never had problems with it til recently. a couple days ago i noticed that after a few minutes of play the table would stop spinning at the correct speed. I thought the stylus might be dirty so I cleaned it and lubricated it, didnt fix the problem though. just wondering if you think its a problem with the belt or could it be just old age of the setup itself? im not positive how tight the belt is supposed to be, its sort of snug but feels like it could tighter. allenh
More than likely the belt and its easy and cheap to change it and find out for sure.
