MondoFanM
Thought I would bump this up with a recent Austin Chronicle Article where the writer visited all the Austin Record Stores. http://www.austinchronicle.com/music/2015-04-24/playback-record-store-crawl/
seanbct
Hey I work over at End Of An Ear - thanks for all the kind words!!! I stop by Waterloo once or twice a week and I can usually find something cool in the latest used arrivals bin. Encore is pretty cool too, they're on East 6th or 7th next to the highway. Antones on Guadalupe is great if you're looking for country and specifically Texas artists. Seriousy, they have almost a wall of Texas artists. Breakaway up on North Loop is also cool. They are the BEST shop in town for Soul / Funk records, specifically 45s. Anything else not mentioned is just because I haven't been there yet. I did go to Sound Gallery but only looked at their stereo equipment so I can't vouch for their record selection, but all the employees there were super nice. WAXXX
There are many. No one mentioned Friends of Sound, Whetstone, or Breakaway. Do a web search for others. I prefer End of an Ear to Waterloo.
