OldKentuckyShark
I have an Audio Technica LP120 USB and I am trying to set up the tone arm for initial usage. The tone arm will float but heavily pulls back to resting point. For all measurements I've taken, the deck is level. We've adjusted it multiple times with extreme settings and nothing keeps it from pulling back to the resting position. Any advice?
necroking
Too much antiskate? Assuming the antiskate on that thing even works.
OldKentuckyShark
Antiskate seems to do nothing to solve this problem
allenh
The anti skate might be stuck at one end of it's range or the cable inside is badly routed and is effectively adding too much bias (anti skate) You can see if the anti skate spring is attached on the underside of the adjuster or see if you can take some of the stress away from the cable, it will look like nothing but a little twist in the right direction can make all the difference. Or worst case these things are not exactly well made so it could be a problem in the bearings or the way the arm is assembled.
