PO (Inorganic Records): Disinterest/Skin Graft Split (FFO: Noisy, effecty, bass-heavy hardcore)

Recommended Posts

For the label's second release, Inorganic Records has teamed up with two Philadelphia hardcore bands, Disinterest and Skin Graft, to release a split 7". The split has received a first pressing of 250 copies on black vinyl and is available for pre-order on the label's official webstore HERE

Disinterest and Skin Graft are largely cut from the same Philadelphia hardcore cloth, but it's what each outfit does with the underlying fabric that sets each apart from one another. In one corner, Disinterest's blistering powerviolence couples malicious noise with surefire maxims. In the other, Skin Graft swaps out guitar-heavy tracks for pummeling drum and bass. If this split were a boxing match, it'd be a fair fight. There's just no clear victor by the end -- both bands would leave their opponent's ears ringing and head muddled by energy.

Courtesy of AbsolutePunk, two tracks from the split -- Disinterest's "Identity Will Ruin You" and Skin Graft's "Devalue" -- have received an exclusive premiere in conjunction with preorders.

The split will be released on April 28th, with orders shipping on or around that date.

PS: I run the label so I would duly appreciate if you'd check it out. Disinterest are one of my favorite up and coming bands. And I'm generally not super into heavier music
