Sonofnothing Posted March 13, 2015 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Hi, I just inherited a Dual 1229 with a Shure M91ED-DL cartridge. I already own an Audio Technica LP-120 with a Shure m97xe on it. Obviously I don't know too much about equipment and I could use your help. Is it worth my time to swap the cartridges and setup the Dual as a daily listener or should I just use my AT-LP-120? RobPelot Posted March 13, 2015 Share Posted March 13, 2015 I have 1229 that came with the m91-mgd cartridge. I swapped it with the new shure that you have. I think it sounds fantastic, and as long as you have the weight set correctly it plays without skipping. Sometimes I get stuck in the drop in though.
