jimallan Posted December 27, 2015 Share Posted December 27, 2015 Hi, Can anyone advise me if it is best to get the mono LK4874 or stereo version SKL4874 of this album for the best sound quality? If the set was recorded in mono and then remastered into stereo with '60s technology (left and right per instrument!) then I would think a mono version would be best. As you probably know, a lot of bigger artists got their records from that period released in both mono and stereo, so the buyer could choose, depending on their system. Nothing on the cover or labels says that it's one of those horrible "electronically reprocessed for stereo" albums, so it's probably a case of both mono and stereo mixes/releases. I'd buy the stereo.
