bellbottomblues
Looking for a new turntable for a good price and this one caught my eye but I haven't seen a lot of reviews on it.

bellbottomblues
Is there a good quality turntable for a good price you would recommend?
ajxd
Your good price vs my good price could be quite different. I'd recommend reading the Beginner's Guide at the top of the forum.
allenh
Terrible. Avoid. It's not terrible in the Crosley sense but what it is though is a re hashing of the same black plastic crap that all the Japanese manufacturers were guilty of putting out in the 90's. They were average at best then and adding things like USB now doesn't make them any better. It will do a perfectly average job and be better than a Crosley but like the Crosley and it's ilk or the AT60 and it's clones you can't adjust the tracking force so if it's wrong you're stuck and if you want to change the cartridge you can't. A company as large as Sony should have decent quality control so the tracking force shouldn't be an issue but I would still check it. A lot of these manufactures are jumping on the vinyl bandwagon but only to the extent of re producing some of their cheaper products so that their outlay is minimal and adding things like USB so it sounds like they made a new product. It does depend what you want out of it so if you just want to play some old records that have no real monetary value and are not too worried about ultimate sound quality or are just connecting to the average home cinema system then it will do it's job but if you want to go further with this hobby then save up a bit more money and buy something that will do a proper job.
