for an album that no one likes this thing goes for way too much money thus preventing me from getting one.

I love this album.

This is my second favorite album behind "Stay What You Are." I think its weird how the band's maturity peaked when they were in their late 'teens and fizzled out after "In Reverie" (I blame the backlash the album got from fans.) Chris' voice sounded better back then. It's all nasally and annoying now which I don't get because he is older. The songwriting has become less poetic and the music -- Well, I never liked their fast, punkier stuff and it's hard to listen to "Through Being Cool" when all the songs are about being 16. It was just not a mature sound.

I feel like "In Reverie" would have been received different if it came out today, due to the fact it came out just before the entire indie-rock resurrection hit, and currently sees a Death Cab album topping the charts.
