jaggedthoughts
Does anyone one remember the name of that video Victory put on in the late 90's on hardcore? there was some pretty funny footage and interviews. I also remember there being a porn with Victory bands on the soundtrack. I believe it was called The Legacy. funny stuff. I was trying to find that hardcore video because I thought it would be funny to watch again 10 years later.
swank
Do you mean "Release"? It was a VHS documentary, I believe produced independently of Victory, but released and distributed by Victory. I have a copy, I watched it recently and it WAS actually pretty funny. There a full-band Lifetime interview from 1997, when they're playing a New Brunswick basement show. Seeing that was the moment that made me go "aw neat!" the most.

It isn't perfect but there's a lot of great parts. Zoli from Ignite talking about how kids don't know who Scream is...and he mentions beanie babies at one point too, that's pretty classic. davehoffa
I think Deadguy makes a brief appearance in that, too.
amsterdamned
Is there anywhere I can find a copy of this on a bootleg dvd, or for download or something?
james
i actually just found my copy of release while cleaning out the pile of vhs tapes...it was right next to the strife 'one truth live' vhs. (and a copy of sick of it all playing the pit in rockford on the scratch the surface tour--the video i promised communique.) the strife vhs is awesome, especially when rick rodney puts the X's on his hands and says, "this is the new era of punk rock." unreal. still need a copy of dotti violent though...
