numanoid
It's open really late, which is nice on the weekends. Get some coffee, and record shop at like 11pm at night. And there's an Ethiopian restaurant a block or two down. Yum. There's a place, I think it's just called Record Exchange, it's an old library turned into a record store. Not much around it, but it's HUGE! Hit or miss though, since they have so many different genres. But it's been about five years since I was there. Got some great scores, The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" and "Faith" on Fiction for $5, things like that.

alrightfornow
I love the Loop, but I've never been a fan of Vintage Vinyl. I can't honestly say I've ever found anything that I was looking for in there, be it CD or vinyl. I'd like to think that I'm just hitting them at bad times. Or maybe I'm just looking for the wrong things. I keep going back though...
thedisappeared
record exchange is fucking killer. but you could take an entire week, and still not look through everything. the place is that big. in the old south city library, right across the street from my high school. great neighborhood.
