littlejonnyhormone
I have a midi keyboard that I typically just plug into my MacBook, turn on GarageBand, and mess around with the settings to play it. Is there any notable program or easier way to do this on a Mac? How about a PC with XP on it? I've never even plugged it into my desktop yet. theambulancereview
Pro Tools or Logic, it's more fun and the samples are much better.
littlejonnyhormone
I will have to check them out. I never got into Pro Tools but it's never too late to start.
theambulancereview
Yeah, Pro Tools is a lot of fun, I hated it for the longest time because I don't really like "digital sound", but it's relatively easy to learn, and some of the MIDI plug-ins are phenomenal as far as some of the instrument samples go. troymess
Logic has good instruments and it's not too hard to learn. That what I use as a DAW. That with an M-Audio Oxygen v2. It's fun! Good luck!

Good luck! Logic isn't bad either, it's just extremely tough for me to go back and forth between Logic and Pro Tools, the different quick keys really fuck with me.
