protagonist
We are super stoked to announce that pre-orders are now up for the new Teenage Cool Kids “Foreign Lands” 180gm LP (with digital download) on Protagonist….yes!! Get ready for 12 new jams from your favorite band to sing along with here! Taking their early sound which had nods to such bands as Meneguar, early Built To Spill, and Dinosaur Jr, and now moving ahead in self-identity and maturity, this record will definitely grab you. It’s everything you’ve grown to love about TCK, and a little something new for the band to keep building on. We guarantee you will have these tracks stuck in your head within the first few listens! This recording was engineered and mixed by TCK along with Jason Kelly of The Wax Museums, and mastered for vinyl by Josh Bonati. No cheap shit. It comes on heavyweight 180gram vinyl for all you geeks…and the color vinyl is a special “color-light” upgrade, so both versions are audiophile quality! It’s available on either Blue or Black wax. Damn skippy! And this bad boy has full color heavy stock covers featuring enchanting artwork by Andrew Savage, with full color printed inner-sleeves too. And every record comes with a free digital download as well. Hell yes! We aint fuckin around here! TEENAGE COOL KIDS “Foreign Lands” 180gram LP with Digital Download You can hear a track from this record, and/or order it here: http://www.myspace.com/protagonistmusic Or check it out on our (still in progress) website here: http://www.protagonistmusic.com We are offering a special package deal if you want to geek out and buy both colors, so look for that option in our store! You get a little discount if you order both!! And you will be able to win our test-press give away if you do…read on for more info… Later this year, there will be a separate European version, with alternate artwork. It will be released by Narshardaa, and should be out in time for the KIDS European tour. We encourage you to check out versions from both labels, no matter where you live! So, in honor of our 2 Year Anniversary as a label, and to thank all of you who have supported us along the way, we are having a small sale and give-away too! Until the end of February, if you order the “package deal” with both colors of the new TCK LP, you will automatically be entered into a random drawing for one of 7 prizes! Those prizes are 5 test-presses of the TCK 7” and 2 test-presses of the TCK LP. Awesome, right??!! And during the month of February, when you order the new TCK LP, you can add any other item in our store to your order for only $5.00! Just look for the option “February Special” in our store. The sale for $5 is only good in the USA though, sorry… But everyone is eligible for the test-press give-aways!! So order up! We expect the records to begin shipping in mid to late March, so keep that in mind. If you order extra items along with your Teenage Cool Kids LP pre-order, they will all ship together – not right away. Ok folks, that’s a whole bunch of blabbering…hehe. We really hope you will check out this record, and we really appreciate all the support we have received in the last 2 years of doing this! Be on the lookout for our upcoming releases with: Suis La Lune, In First Person, Algernon Cadwallader, Osceola, Zann, and Absinthe. Get stoked! We are! protagonist
We won't have exact pressing numbers until the records arrive, but should be about 400 on Blue and 550 on Black

I'll try to check it out though. I met these dudes once and they seemed like nice enough guys.
protagonist
It's a really fun record. If you could mix early Built To Spill with Beach Boys, Meneguar, Jets To Brazil and Marked Men, maybe you would get this album. And the guys are fantastic...just really down to earth sweethearts who love playing house shows, meeting new kids, and playing punk rock. ericheartsu
also who is doing the cd?
protagonist
Since there is a digital download with each LP, there are no specific plans for a CD immediately. However, we have discussed that possibility for the future. And man...I've never heard anyone describe them that way! They're such nerds in real life, it just seems impossible. I've been on the road with them, and the kids always love them. They've never been anything but unassuming and sweet to us either. Must have been a bad day or something...?
