Guest Admin
SICK SICK BIRDS "Heavy Manners" LP pink vinyl SICK SICK BIRDS "Heavy Manners" LP blue vinyl MILD WINTER "Postcards and Letters" LP random color vinyl DEAD MECHANICAL "Binghamton Calling" 7" Sick Sick Birds is the dudes from the Thumbs and man, I always loved the Thumbs. I actually helped those guys book their first show in Colorado back in 96 or 97 and they blew my mind. I have not heard this new Sick Sick Birds album, but I am super excited to spin it. We also got in a new single by Dead Mechanical which the label compares to Jawbreaker meets Superchunk. Lastly, we got a new LP by Mild Winter who is described as indie-folk from Harrisonburg, VA. suburbanargyle
That Sick Sick Birds LP is currently the best album of 2009 for me. "Second To Last" is such a great, great song. Up until about last week, they've shared a drummer with Dead Mechanical, and those 2 bands are the best in Baltimore.

stefan
Yep, SSB colors are both limited to 100 and all have the newspaper inserts. Im pissed i forgot to grab a copy of the sick sick birds lp at the fest. Surely you don't mean THE Fest, the LP is fairly hot off the presses! Speaking of THE THUMBS... Just saw that they show up on The Fest list this year! Anyone know the line-up? I always thought they were twice as good as a 4-piece with all three guys up front singing, the smaller band lacked just a bit of the energy..
