zakworthless
Commemorating the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, Detournement's second release, "Awaken with Millions from One Heart", is a collection of love-letters to the proletariat, anti-capitalist pillow-talk, and pop-punk songs for class warfare. Produced by Bouncing Souls guitarist, Pete Steinkopf, "Awaken with Millions from One Heart" follows a similar approach to Detournement's debut, "Screaming Response", which was accused of making "good on the promise their pedigree commands" by Alternative Press, charged as being "classic hardcore punk!" by Jersey Beat, and convicted as "a violently political album" by Heathen Harvest. For fans of Rancid, Bad Religion, Bouncing Souls. TRACK LISTING 01. Chicago '86 [streaming now at www.Myspace.com/DetournementBand] 02. Jenny Von Westphalen 03. Awaken with Millions Featuring members of The Ratchets, Bigwig, Ensign, Worthless United, and Plan A Project. Pressed on limited edition die-cut "heart-shaped" vinyl available from Pirates Press Records. Limited to 500pcs, spread across two configurations of colored vinyl (Blood Red [250pcs] and Red and Yellow Sunburst [1/250]). Digital Download available exclusively from Chunksaah Records Online. http://www.detournementonline.com http://www.piratespressrecords.com http://www.chunksaah.com

sirrichardrichard
Those look great. I'll definitely pick up one. Does anyone have anymore information on what constitutes "sunburst", is it just a more uniform splatter? All I can think of is sunburst guitars and they are kind of like two colours mixed. Thanks. musicinveins11
I also didnt know they repressed the 7 inch as well on 2 new colors , looks like i will have to place an order from pirate press this weekend !
xjustinxschwierx
If you habe seen the shot baker awake lp, I believe that is the sunburst where the center of the record is a explosion of color. Edit: if not there are several pictures up on the ucr myspace page pictures section
sirrichardrichard
Thanks, they should look great. The only other red//yellow sunburst I could find was the The Shook Ones Facetious Folly Feat, and even then there was only a sliver showing outside the jacket. musicinveins11
man i didnt realize the box set was still available either going to have to place a nice size order from there .
sirrichardrichard
The songs on the myspace sound good. Ordered the sunburst, will likely make an order for the 7" from Chunksaah...probably when the 4th souls is put up. Looking forward to seeing how the sunburst looks, the Shot Baker was a good guideline. Looking forward to the uniqueness of the die-cut. The last piece of shaped vinyl I owned was the LTJ moldy cheese about 10 years ago. You have to appreciate the uniqueness, as well as the political statement.
