What's this worth?

all these witty harsh replies before i can get my own venom in....

i find that having something signed typically makes no one want it anymore, but then my signed records are from the mountain goats and explosions in the sky and have a nice life and other things that if anyone else wanted they would have gotten themselves.

if I ever sell my signed mountain goats records, you can commit me. Also, signatures often make vinyl more desirable for fans...but flood is right. Bands that do festival circuits sign A LOT of stuff.

i cant imagine its that a desirable item, strictly from the standpoint of paramore is a band that probably signs a shit ton of things at their shows, and at festivals so theres probably a good amount of signed Lp's floating around out there.

Plus the fact that it's missing one of the band member's signatures I think would make it even less desirable.

and that Fueled By Ramen was giving away signed posters to anyone that emailed them their mailing address on two separate occasions.

and if the original poster expected to get serious answers here he was sorely mistaken.

do records with signatures on the actual vinyl still play?

I don't know why it wouldn't. I don't think the ink would be in the grooves, but then again I don't know much. ;)

Here's a little info on one autographed record :

i've always wondered, does autographed vinyl still play fine?

I found this info out :

When Portland's Poison Idea teamed up with locally based label Tim Kerr Records in the 90's, you had a band of serious record collectors on a label being run by a record collector and former record store owner. It led to some pretty unique & collectible pressings. Maybe none more so than this one, the Limited Edition pressing of 1000 numbered & autographed copies of the Pajama Party release of P.I. covering other folks material.

The autographs & numbers were done on the inner photos BEFORE the outer clear vinyl was pressed around it. So the ink does not distort the sound quality of the disc, as the vinyl's grooves are actually on top of the autographs
