drabley Posted February 19, 2010 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Last night, I saw the second half of the TNG episode where Picard becomes Locutus of Borg. I noticed some very obvious plot similarities between this episode and the recent Star Trek feature film. Outside of the characters and the character development sequences, I'd almost say it was a complete adaptation of the TNG episode and has no new content at all so far as storyline. Thoughts? joshnotgood Posted February 19, 2010 Share Posted February 19, 2010 Having seen both the new film and the episode you're referring too, I guess I don't see the same similarities as you. That said, I'm excited to see the direction the new films will take. A part of me would like to see Khan in the next film, possibly as an ally as opposed to a foe. But for now we can only trust that they're (the writers) making the right decisions. And I hope JJ directs the next film too, I really think that'll be important.
