mygreatdevastator
This may seem ridiculous but I figured I would try to get help here before I just bought a new receiver. It keeps on shutting off randomly. This is the culprit here. A Yamaha RX-V490. The current set up is having my record player, a Pro-Ject Debut 1.3 running into the phono in of the receiver. From there, I have two studio monitors I have been using to listen, since having headphones on all the time sucks. I have them connected from the Rokits through the unbalanced RCA out straight to the receiver out of either the VCR outs or the Tape outs. I am assuming it does not like this. Should I just buy a new receiver or new speakers or both? The Yamaha is pretty old. I have a picture but doubt you would need to see that to help out my situation. Thanks to any and all advice in advance! -Matt
