fordocumentationon
So I've had my turntable for a few years now without any problems. The other day I went to go play a record, and the turntable turns on, but nothing else happens. The plate won't spin, and the needle doesn't want to drop. It's a direct drive, so there's no belt. Anyone have any advice? The specs: Brand: Technics Direct Drive Automatic Model: SL-D3
ajxd
Throw it away. Have you opened it up? See if something is jamming the mechanics underneath? Does the platter move if you give it a push? Is your cueing mechanism stuck?
patron
I had almost the same problem a couple months ago, ad weird as it sounds, it literally started working after a week or two.
fordocumentationon
The plate still moves when I manually turn it. After opening it up, I can actually turn the power on and off by spinning the head manually. the needle goes down when I do this, but the plate won't turn automatically. =(
