If you rode in your vans it doesn't surprise me. I love them to pieces but when you do anything for an extended period of time in them that usually happens. Except sitting.

I wore Vans slip ons (no socks) a lot in 2007 (basically from April - September, but not when it was above 60. They beat up my feet pretty good, but somehow were still comfortable / durable enough for me to not take them off.

But yeah, that anklet is probably the real reason why.
