parsonsdc
GREY WORLD presents...... HARDCORE MATINEE at Velvet Lounge February 20th 2011 TRAPPED UNDER ICE (Baltimore HC) GIVE (DCHC) MOB MENTALITY (DCHC) doors @ 3pm ALL AGES - $10 This show will start on time since it has to be over before there night business begins. Also, the Velvet Lounge is going out on a limb for Steve and the rest of the DC hardcore scene to let us start having ALL AGES matinees there SO DON'T FUCK IT UP! Just be respectful, have fun, do what you do but try to make it a positive experience for the venue so we can get new good things going for DC hardcore in 2011. One Hundred Fifty-Two
$10 for three localish bands looks like the velvet lounge is really going out on a limb. Also, if you don't want to fuck up your chances of getting another show I wouldn't start with TUI.

Also, we are doing hardcore matinees there not pop punk or anything like that SO.... TUI seems like a good choice because they will pack the place, draw not only straight edge kids (ie people who will spend money at the bar) and are a good band, ALSO the venue knows it will get rowdy I am not too worried about it. I doubt there will be any fights and if so they will be handled immediately. my friend Steve who is doing this show with me knows the owners and has explained to them whats going on so I dont foresee TUI being an issue. One Hundred Fifty-Two
Yeah I'm not saying the $10 is your fault, it seems like the venue doesn't want to take a chance on losing money so they are charging a lot.
