Hello,

I will be in Cape Coral Florida for two weeks....anything worth checking out there, or close by?

Record stores, shows, a good barber, fun things to check out?

I haven't been down in a while...but there's not too much. It's mostly a retirement community(from my experience). The typical beach/canals type thing is cool if you're into that. Ft Myers is pretty close by if you're looking for a city to hang around in.

There's a record store on Del Prado in the cape called rainbow records.

not much new stuff, but a ton of decently priced old stuff.

as far as entertainment goes, cape is pretty boring. there's a pool hall called rack ems on 47th terrace that has a pretty awesome craft beer selection, but that's about it.

downtown fort myers is pretty close to cape, and there are a lot of bars and restaurants there. also a vintage store with another decent selection of older vinyl. their record guy just bought an estate sale of classic punk records so there's a lot of that in there.

if you make it downtown, i'm the bar manager of a coffee shop / bar called the United Cafe. stop in and ask for Thom and i'll recommend some other places to check out in the area
