midnightcity
Well, that escalated quickly. Only a month after announcing a hiatus for the the Foo Fighters, the BBC has learned that Dave Grohl is rejoining Queens of the Stone Age for another album. Queen's frontman Josh Homme announced on Zane Lowe's Tuesday program that long-time drummer Joey Castillo was out, and Grohl was back in. To further the excitement an image of Grohl's fader, dubbed "Dave Drums", was posted on band's Facebook page. Grohl originally appeared on 2002's Songs for the Death, causing rumors of the Foo Fighter's demise. However, Grohl later admitted that the move was merely a break from the Foo's more mellower material. Castillo replaced Grohl as Queen's permanent drummer on that record's tour. Queen's sixth studio album is set for release in 2013. It's unclear if Grohl will tour with the band. elementalcoco
I am so stoked. This is going to be so baller. I can't wait to buy the record. Songs for the Deaf came around at a point when I was an angst filled teen and I've been hooked ever since. Add in Dave Grohl and you've got a magical combination for sure.
