mikeytags Posted December 31, 2012 Share Posted December 31, 2012 I've been thinking about upgrading my entry-level setup to something nicer, and was hoping to get some good suggestions here. My current setup is an ATLP60 plugged into a soundbar. I've only been collecting vinyl for a year and didn't want to buy any new equipment until I decided if it was a hobby I would really embrace, so now I'm looking to take the next step. I have the opportunity to inherit/borrow this equipment from my father-in-law: Yamaha M-85 Power Amp Yamaha C-85 Preamp And let's say I have anywhere from $500 to $1000 to spend on new equipment in the course of the next year. I've done a fair amount of research and reading about turntables and have some ideas of what I would want to buy in that regard, but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the other components.
