Marker Posted January 22, 2014 Share Posted January 22, 2014 inb4 get better equipment Anyway, I have an AT-LP60 that has a built in optional preamp. I also have a Stanton SMX.202 Mixer lying around. Am I better off using the mixer for sound amplification? I feel like with the mixer I'd have better sound control but I don't want to be adding an unnecessary variable to my modest setup if I'd be better off just using the built in preamp that my turntable already has.
