Subdomestic Posted July 29, 2014 Share Posted July 29, 2014 The 407 works on transponders. If you have a transponder in your vehicle, the sensors at the entrance gates pick it up. If you don't have a transponder then the cameras take a picture of your licence place and you have to pay an additional fee (video toll charge). I try to avoid the toll highway so I don't see a lot of bills but I'm surprised the video toll fee wasn't on your bill for km's travelled.
