soundexpressions Posted December 12, 2014 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Hi just getting back into vinyl.. i went all out and picked up a Pro Ject Xtension 9 player with a Sumiko Blue Point Special Cartridge LOW OUTPUT.. MC i have the PRO JECT Tube Box S Pre Amp.. <(think i should get a better one)? that is one of the questions the other is getting the proper settings with the dip switches... does any of you experts have a clue??? If so, this is not low output MC. I don't know Sumiko cartridges. I do know Pro-Ject components though and can help once I know exactly what cartridge you have. slinch Posted December 12, 2014 Share Posted December 12, 2014 For the Blue Point set the gain to 41dB, capacity to 150pF and impedance to 47kohms. That's all the switches down, only switch 5 and switch 8 up. You can also experiment with lower capacitance (50pF), just switch #5 down for that.
