Amtrak Question

Good afternoon!

I'm heading from St. Louis to Minneapolis via the Amtrak. (Before you ask why I'm not flying it's because I don't like flying and I do like trains.)

I saw a bit about stops for smoking.

Anybody know anything about being able to hop off to have a smoke?

Thanks!

I'm not a smoker but I believe that certain stops along your route are designated "smoking stops". They announce it over the loudspeaker. I think it's typically larger city stops where it takes a bit to board folks.

Well, I'll be going from STL to Chicago followed by Chicago to Minneapolis.

What are we calling a larger city? (I've only been on two Amtrak trips before this one.) On to Chicago, I'll pass through Springfield, Bloomington/Normal, Joliet....

My stop in Chicago is about 90 minutes, so I might just smoke my brain out there and eat snus on the train.

I'm not sure where it goes from Chicago to Minny...never done that before...ADVENTURE!!!!

Thanks!
