i was at that supposed 'last' show in philly, which was fun but a letdown as far as reggie live goes. hopefully maybe ill make it up for this.

i had some friends in town from nj and all in all it was a fun day. we ended up partying too late the night before and didn't leave my place until like 11:15, dumb move. the metro/buses were a mess by then, ended up having to walk 3 miles down to the mall. clearly the organizers did not anticipate the numbers that showed up. didnt get anywhere near the stage to hear anything, but did see some fantastic tree climbing and sign making.
this was at least 6 blocks north of the mall

graduated from stockton college in new jersey with a BS in compsci/infosci. small school about 15 min outside of atlantic city. it was fun, i was able to play DIII lacrosse for 4 years also.

for real, dudes. what a fucking live show they put on. plus, this was potentially their last east coast run ever. i would loooove to see them with hot chip on the west coast. note to everyone: pay whatever they charge, it's worth it.
I'm actually thinking of going to see them on the tour w/ Hot Chip, because I've been dying to see Hot Chip too.
I saw LCD at Bonnaroo and Free Fest and both times were mind blowing. Literally the second time, because I had a headache and was on the verge of passing out.
haha sweet/ouch, i was at bonnaroo as well. so glad i got to hear pow pow. i got my fill of lcd this summer.

LCD was absolutely incredible at FreeFest! I was slack-jawed the whole set.
I'd pay top dollar to see LCD Soundsystem again.

The vocalist from Trap Them wrote a pretty awesome post about ticket prices, but I can't find it now.
it's a good read, he broke that shit down.
also, i just paid $40 to see LCD soundsystem in charlottesville. it was exremely steep, but i love lcd so it was worth it. i generally don't care about ticket prices. i reasoned it by the fact i went to virgin freefest the week before.

yeaaaaaa... a little much.
hey, i like the idea. goes with the whole theme of the packaging. having the uneven slicing of a real envelope when you rip er open.

i will be there.... psyched. been working like crazy.....more lcd too!

i didn't really start until my latter college years to start to dabble. when looking back, this was probably a good move. better understanding of shit in general. i stick with hallucinogens/weed. did a roxys inadvertently once, uhhh terrible, last time for that shit or anything like it.

so yesterday was one of the cooler days in my time here in dc. i've been seeing ian mackaye walking around casually and at different events throughout the city since i've been here. i finally got to see him in action yesterday with his wife, the evens. i've never listened to any of their stuff on record. but it didn't take away from the night. fort reno has been going on for 45 years. its a free summer concert series put on by ian's sister, amanda. all local talent hand picked by her. this was the first time in 2 1/2 years they have played live. ian's friend henry rollins came out to support. pics got kinda stretched sending them thru email. just chillin setting up the stage.
and here with the evens on, rollins sitting there to the right. i was pleasantly surprised with their sound. his wife is a really good drummer. a lotta songs about the city, obviously, which was neat.
overall a really neat experience, with a lot of history attached. i don't think i'll see something like this again.

i refuse to watch this show on all accounts being i am a native new jersian. but, just saw through fb that my friend from college arrested snooki last week. dude on the left. pretty sweet i must say. he's still a dick.

awesome movie, me and a friend ate some firecrackers and watched this, still trying to wrap my head around it. plus we got a free movie pass on our way out cause the a.c. was broken, but it wasn't even that bad!

Very interesting read and with me going to my first festival recently, I can totally see a lot of what is being talked about in the article. Amazing that nitrous is controlled by the FDA, had no idea. I've never done it personally and I certainly enjoy my fair share of substances, I don't see the point of it. Anyone ever drop mad bills on this shit?

Atlantic City in the background, me on the right, finally got out to the beach.
Diving off the canopy of the boat 10 miles offshore. We had like 20 dolphins all around us at one point, very cool.

Good stuff here. I don't think an iphone or bb is necessary for everyday living in the slightest. Granted, I do IT work and have a free BB, but outside of work, i really never touch it. I have a regular phone with no data plan or anything. I just think it has become a huge distraction, we have gotten shit done without an iphone before it came out and I intend to keep it that way. Some people literally can't live without an iphone or bb, i think that is extremely sad.
When i need directions I get a rough outline of the streets beforehand and picture it in my head. I've gotten very lost in baltimore a couple times, but just sticking with my bearings it has always turned out allright. Plus the understanding for the next time. I think literally finding your way is actually fun. But this example goes for any 'app' that replaces something in real life. In your case Yu, it may very well be helpful.
