Do you guys recommend these over a standard phono box from project ? Or maybe a used tube box?

Yeah? I don't get what's wrong with that... I originally just started getting ones from my favorite bands then I just got more into it, found some of my dads old records, and played those on my grams player ( you know the ones you can order out of any of those old people general item Xmas gift magazines? Haha) yeah well it sounded like shit but it was fun, the first time id ever played a record. and the more I got into it the more I realized I wanted to give it a shot. Even though I haven't started playing yet I'm definitely anxious down the road to start modding and trying different cartridges and components to get the best sound. I've just never known about it man. I'm no stranger to hifi though, I got some beats studios last year and they are the best headphones in the world!!! Hahahahahaha don't tear me up over that I'm only kidding. I despise beats with a passion. But I would definity say I'm not ok with an average setup. Like I said though, I'm really new to all of this actually. So sorry if any of that seems strange. But that's how I got here. But any info is greatly appreciated.

Before I started with vinyl I got a little crazy into munkone posters. I think that got me started on collecting like this

Yeah...I wasn't planning on it really. I just liked having a record with a digital copy more than a scratched up cd. It started out just getting a few city and colour records. I believe bring me your love swirl was the first, and it came with the booklet and It just changed my view completely. Now I've got all these ( http://deadformat.net/tradelist/Buttercup24 )and wanna start listening to them.

Well eventually I'm looking at upgrading to one of the higher end ortofon mm's. acrylic platter, speed box 2. And nice hifi speakers ( I want to just enjoy and have fun with it for now but I do intend on going a little overboard after a couple years on a system) thanks for the reply!

So I've been collecting for a year and decided its time to get started listening. My all black debut Carbon showed up a few days ago (340 shipped to my door) but I need a pre amp. I was wondering if I could run into a phono pre and then into my Krk rokit6 monitors for now until I move into a new place and get a hifi? Remember I'm new to this Was looking at rega mm mk2 pre Please make recommendations under 500 Thanks guys, Mason

Well I'm sorry I haven't seen those delays talked about? Was it on this thread? I swear I've re read this thread numerous times but maybe somehow I skipped over it. I don't mean to have poor forum etiquette, and get anyone's hopes up. I'm just the guy trying to get in the loop because I would lose my mind if I missed out in this set. Like most I got into vinyl a bit late and now I'm trying to play catch up on records I just flat out cannot afford. Also i apologize for my rude 2nd post. Might have to do with it being cold as balls up here in the arctic circle.

But to my knowledge, last fall they announced the set to be released and more details by the first the the year, then nothing. But your totally right... I'm definitly a deuche for wondering if anyone knew anything about my favorite bands mythical box set.

there is a way to transfer files off your ipod back onto your computer. ive done it using freetrail software for my macbook i appreciate you looking earlier for me

im looking for one of these 7's and i was wondering if anyone on here has one so i don't have to drop the ridiculous coin on bay for one :/ does anyone have a rip of these tracks? id love to hear the alicia keys cover. im also trying to get a bottle of two of that beer bu living in wa its not looking very likely. vie been driving the flying monkey lady nuts!!! i have the emails to prove it ! haha if anyone can help me out with that also please PM me, it would be greatly appreciated as far as the vancouver show goes, i thought he sounded great but i agree. this and bumper shoot were great shows but it still isn't the same as the house of blues show or the alexisonfire farewell date i went to in montreal. but even so, his performances are always getting better and i love the way he changes the songs for live performances. amazing amazing musician

yeah i guess me neither now. drove from seattle area to the vancouver show and while i was waiting for my girlfriend to get out of the bathroom some dick in a pittsburg hat walks by and took fries off my tray. is that a normal thing in vancouver!? haha i wanted to beat his ass but i didn't wanna get kicked out... :/ but yeah, amazing show. crowd was super lame for jimmy eat world though
