Oh man, that was a little more than I wanted to spend but gone now anyway! Thanks for the heads up though!

Any leads on the Notorious BIG box set online? I’ve wasted most of my day scouring the net and waiting for Rough Trade to immediately sell out.

It looks like they're up, but I'm not sure that anyone out of the country can order? Not too educated on my Dutch.
Yeah, it's a shame but the only place that I can find the EU exclusives are EMP and they seem to only ship to Germany and Luxembourg. And quite frankly, I hate the colorways of all of the USA exclusives. Oh well, I guess I'll either be patient and maybe an EU order will pop up or just pass. Thanks for the heads up anyway!

I got my Carpenter Brut from Plastic head today. It is white with red haze. These records are the dirtiest records i have ever received, they were covered with some sorta dust that i was able to clean off and they sound great after it.
Same here from Neuropa, white with red haze and some kind of almost sand grit all over everything. Need to give these babies a bath but I'm not sure how to get it all out of the sleeves. May have to get new sleeves for them.

Fuck MerchNow. I was checking out and I had no idea they didn't preserve my cart while I was entering payment info. One second I thought I had it, the next... nope! Sigh.
Yeah, that was me as well. Actually, I think I was one stupid mouse click away and it kicked me back out to tell me TSY was sold out.

Haha yep those exact cups. I mean, you never know what they had laying around (or how many records, mugs or whatever they had/sent out) but it did feel like "Crap, remember those cups we have in the break room? Yeah, throw those in a box and get them out!".
And again, it's awesome for them to even take the time to send something out to me. I'm completely thrilled with the box set.

I didn't get any promo item either but I ordered as soon as it went up. Checked my packing slip and it says "PRESALE PROMO: FREE ITEM" so I emailed customer support just to see if it was an oversight. They were awesome and apologized and sent me a package within the day.
Got my package yesterday and....it was 2 plastic cups. Man, I hate to sound ungrateful but I guess I built myself up too much with seeing all the 7"s people were getting. So I would check your packing slip and see if it has any verbiage like that on it. Oh well, still an amazing box set!

I just picked up the Orange Krush version from Bullmoose if anyone else is interested!
-
I emailed Cough themselves about the Orange variant about a week ago. Unfortunately, they said that they didn't know yet exactly where it would be available. It looks to me like the variant that matches the artwork the most and I would love to have it. Just give me the chance to buy it!

Heck yeah, thanks for posting!
Also found on Amazon at:
Apparent release date is November 13.

Yep, just got one! Hopefully it goes through with no problems.

I've been a Sublime fan for about 15 years (man, that makes me feel old haha) and I was ready for this to PO on Friday but by Saturday I had too much going on/forgot. I haven't been this bummed to miss a PO in well, ever.
I've got one local HT, called them up to ask about it (it wasn't on Travis' list but just in case!) and nope. They did have a wonderful suggestion to order it online and ship it to the store...
Long story er...short, if anyone can get ahold of one for me, I'd be beyond happy and owe you a life debt or something. Please let me know!

Thanks for the heads up and links. I've also had a decently difficult time locating copies of these at retail pricing and they didn't have any with them on tour last year I think it was when I saw them. Anyway, ordered!
-
Yeah, I got some damaged records in their last big sale. I guess it all went relatively smooth but like already mentioned, it did take about a solid 2 months and ~11 emails to finally get the replacements. It hasn't spoiled me on them completely as I got in about 15 other records no problem. I do hope your experience is better though.

Don't want to get anything too stirred up but I hopefully just got some good news. I just got a UPS shipping notification from MyPlay Direct. I ordered this from Nitro (surprised to see it as a subsidiary of MyPlay Direct at the time) and I'm pretty sure I don't have anything else outstanding from MPD.
And actually, looking at my initial Nitro email confirmation, it says that "Estimated Delivery: December 18, 2014 to January 12, 2015." Sooooo it maybe possibly be happening?

Thanks for the heads up, ordered! Digging the new clip of a song and hoping that it's the direction the whole album takes. Personally, I loved the more acoustic and softer Sufjan of Seven Swans, Michigan and Illinois opposed to The Age of Adz.

Stoked! Thanks for the heads up.

Been eagerly waiting on this, it's gonna be an ear killer! Thanks!

Wow, thanks for the post & link! I've been waiting for this on vinyl since I first heard the stream and scared myself half to death haha. This is such a monster album and I was starting to get pretty angry with Profound Lore (I thought they were pressing it but I guess they just had CD rights? That stuff gets me so confused.)
Ordered with the quickness but I did verbally wtf at the $11! shipping. Now the wait to listen to this on vinyl can begin in earnest!
-
Awesome, thanks for the heads up! The split with Primitive Man is killer. I've looked at this one before but didn't want to pay the overseas shipping costs.
-
Thanks for the heads up on the US PO! Ordered the Green.
If this even comes close to Carnival Is Forever, I'll be one happy person! That album is such a beast.

It's already been said but just an affirmation that Live at the Old Quarter is definitely the place to start. It not only has a majority of his best tunes on it but showcases Townes as Townes, a fantastic performer and stage man with all the emotion and humor one could ask for.
His actual albums are great as well but the songs get bogged down with too much instrumentation and arrangement for my tastes. He gets kind of lost in the mix sometimes on them. That being said, I personally would recommend any of the first 3 (For the Sake of the Song, Our Mother the Mountain, and Townes Van Zandt) and/or The Late Great Townes Van Zandt. But as also mentioned, hard to go wrong with any. Enjoy!
-
Oh I agree with them with them that the cover artwork is awesome. In fact, this may be my favorite yet! What more reason to have it as a great big album sleeve? Haha. If this is my only option, I'll still end up getting it because that new track is totally awesome.
+1 for Hellish Red/Orange/Yellow!
