Just so nobody is waiting around, just saw this added to the page for the GotG cassette on Bullmoose's site:
"We apologize for the disappointment, but this title will not be made available online. Sorry!"
-
I saw no Faith No More at all today.. I'll check the prices and get back to you and edit the post as well.
-
yeah, I know Beatles and that Flaming Lips (didn't recognize that's what it was) were at one shop here in a decent number so if someone is still looking later and wants me to grab it, let me know. I'm in California so shipping would be pretty standard.
Edit: weirdly, Beatles is $14.98 and Flaming Lips is $15.98. Does this sound in line with what other people have seen them for?

stuff people are looking for that I know stores around me had a few copies of: Ra Ra Riot, Bleachers, Chvrches, St.Vincent, Against Me!, Beatles. I could probably go back tonight or this weekend depending on if enough people are still looking/want me to pick something up.
If anyone has a store with copies of the GotG cassette, please feel free to PM info if they do phone or online orders or if you might be willing to help out. thanks!!

putting myself on the list for when the time comes and someone might be getting rid of 2001 at or near cost. Thought I'd have a little more time to pick one up and have spent too much on Mondo stuff lately that I thought I could hold off. PM me when the time comes if you have an extra that you're willing to sell.
also, to update, they're down to 11 'Coraline' soundtracks showing in their shop, so if that was something you were waiting on, might be time to make the move.
-
just a heads up, looks like there's only 22 copies of 'Coraline' left if you haven't picked it up yet. Seems like there was a run on it over the weekend (I remember it being closer to the mid-100's last time I checked).
-
that was pretty painless. Looks like the inventory started at 3000 for Pet Sematary.

Did anyone who ordered the Sleater-Kinney box from here either receive it or have their order status anything but being backordered? Just curious what kind of stock they might have had on it.
-
Does it have a cat#? Otherwise it is not eligible on discogs.
If it does have a cat#, it would need to be a separate submission since it was sent at random with different SotD variants. Also the cat# would be different than the SotD release, making it a separate submission.
Just got my order today, with a ZED included. There's no catalog number, no matrix, etching, anything, completely blank sleeve save for the stamp print, the insert and no info on the label.
My order was of 2 albums (standard and variant) and it felt a little heavier than I expected. The ZED was in there, so that's definitely a possibility. Also They seem to have the new logo on the shipping label and packing slip.

I received an email back from Mondo and the person said that Guardians should stay up until Friday of this week and they said to not order anything else with it or the order will be cancelled due to it being a preorder.
I'm trying to see if I understand this right.. so tomorrow is the last day to preorder Guardians?

don't know if this helps anyone that already made an order, but looks like the 7" version is back in stock.

I've updated with mention of that. If someone has this can you let me know where the locked groove(s) is located?
This is from the Mondo announcement link. I originally took it to mean on the 7" but now not so sure:
"Nathan was so enthusiastic he started asking if there was anything extra he could supply. When the composer asks if he can provide additional material to a soundtrack release you pounce on the opportunity. We got him to create a special locked groove “loop” and even put together a 7” single containing his piano solo version of the main theme and Kid Koala’s “Slinky Dance” from the club scene."

Paid $75 for this at the con. Lame, but whatever.
was that with or without the 7"? with shipping, it'll probably be $77.
-
sorry if I missed it somewhere, is there no variant to Looper? just trying to search it on ebay and really don't see anything but the standard version it seems like.
-
yeah I haven't seen a picture yet that really gets the color of this. I'm guessing the right lighting would do it but I wasn't able to capture it.
-
got this in today. Never got a shipping notice. Very nice color, guess it's not entirely considered a 'Loser Edition' (sticker on the front just says 'Limited Edition of 750 / Colored Vinyl / Full Album Download'

I want to know what it is.
Mondo-000?
this was on the Mondo site's blog
"Keep checking back here at the Blog later this week for photo detail of each record, including more information on all MondoCon Vinyl releases (LOOPER, MUSIC FOR 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, IRON GIANT and one more fun Vinyl item yet to be announced.)"
but by fun I figured it meant something small like a 7".

went to check the date on this (a week from tomorrow, 9/23) and saw a note on the order page that colored vinyl sold out on 9/10.

Anyone else excited that Towers is gone from Arizona? Maybe they will stop signing "gritty" and "gamers" "people that play the right way" and start putting a real team together.
dunno if that changes Kirk Gibson though
-
Kershaw has gotta be the NL MVP, right?
Maybe Stanton but the team.
If not Clayton, who? Hunter pence?
If it ends up being a position player, and the Marlins make a run then it's definitely Stanton. Depending on the same for how their teams do, I think Posey, McCutchen, Freeman have slim outside chances.
and just for comparison sake because I don't think Freeman has been brought up a lot, here are his stats side by side with Pence (through today). He has about 40 less at bats and doesn't really compete in the speed categories.
R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB AVG OBP SLG OPS
Pence 101 172 29 10 19 69 12 .297 .349 .479 .828
Freeman 89 156 38 4 18 70 2 .289 .387 .475 .862

Someone is flipping a blue copy which they claim to have in their possession:
not sure if it's an Exclusive to Urban or what, but that's the version they show on their website for $21.98 http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=33763707#/

It's been just about a year since Nate or Leslie played in the live band. Saw them at the Fonda in L.A. last November and they weren't there.. checked the rest of the dates on instagram later that fall/winter and didn't see either of them in any pictures. I'm sure family/career were more important than getting together to do 8-10 shows a year and they probably weren't expecting to still be doing it when they called it quits back in 2001.

Still working ?
I ordered yesterday and it did then, not sure if anyone can confirm an order after that.

got mine this afternoon, shipped from SF which means they are shipping while on tour which is pretty cool of them to do to make up for the wait. no luck on the test press here. pretty basic layout, no printing on the spine. Was also able to pick up the tour press the other night.
All orders have shipped according to Instagram......also they sent out random orders with Test Presses as well.....everybody cross their fingers
Lampwick.....you aren't from Huntsville/Madison, Alabama are you?nope, California.

Anyone know if there's been an updated set of records on sale? They're having another 50% on sale items this weekend and was wondering if there's anything new to look for. My local store really cleared out their selection after the summer/Labor Day sale and hasn't seemed to mark even the records I know from this thread are usually on clearance, so any help would be appreciated.
Also, they had The Big Lebowski soundtrack on 'Bowling Ball Red.' Not sure this was exclusive to them, didn't see the Urban Exclusive sticker on it, but also hadn't really heard of this variant being out there either.
