  1. Well, luckily for you, you live in a country where you're not forced to buy something that you deem to be over priced. As for me....I live in a country where I'm forced to buy this. So I already bought the $150 box set as well as the 3xLP.
  2. Odd. This must be an unoffical release. The ORG 180gram unplugged black vinyl from 2009 can still be bought just about anywhere for $20. Why would Universal UK release the same record 4 years later considering that the ORG record is still stocked at every music store?
  3. I just came across this while searching on BestBuy. Nirvana Unplugged Vinyl "Coming Soon" Release Date 3/5/2013 So I searched it on Google and it brought me to Amazon where they are taking pre-orders for: Nirvana Unplugged [import]. "This title will be released on March 5, 2013" Label: Universal UK Description States: "Limited edition vinyl pressing of the popular MTV unplugged album from Kurt Cobain and co. **Please note that this vinyl pressing features 'For Promotional Use Only' printed on the artwork. 2007" Has anyone heard anything about this? Is it a legit release or just another unofficial bootleg POS?
  4. Ok, no prob. Just though i'd ask. I figured it would be a long shot.
  5. I know this is now post is now 6 months old, but do you still have the Chiodos records for sale?
  6. Thanks for everyones help. Its much appreciated.
  7. I dont know what you consider cheap. Best Buy online has In Utero for $29.99. Just from what I see with the UPC, the one that they're selling MIGHT be the cream color vinyl. Its on back order, but you can still order it. They say its limited edition 180g virgin vinyl and the upc is ......002332. The UPC and "limited edition" makes me think its the cream color record. So I obviously cant be sure, but from their description, I think its the one you're looking for. I suppose you could always buy it and return it to your local store if it's not the correct one. They have free shipping so you wont be losing any money if you have to return it.
  8. I know there was also a black released at the same time. So I'd think that the black would be standard. I've really been trying to figure this out for a long time now and I just cant get to the bottom of it. Heres what I know from the copies I have. The cream color UPC is ..............................002332 The Standard black 2009 reissue UPC is ....969051 The Neon yellow UPC....................................969051 ( i dont have this, but this is the upc i've found from pics online) So the black and the neon both have the same upc. But, the only cover that states it was made in USA is the cream color. So maybe the neon and black are not US pressings? Hmmm....I'm so confused.
  9. This is the problem I'm having. Seems like everyone has their own theory about where this cream colored one came from. I also think the clear one was a Hot Topic exclusive so I really dont think its a EU pressing. But I'm not positive about it. I was actually thinking that the cream color was a European press.
  10. Is there anyone familiar with the 2009 Yellow reissue of In Utero? There are 2 different yellow releases. One is a transparent neon yellow, while the other is more of a marbled cream color. The only info I can find is that the yellow vinyl is limited to 4000. I'm pretty sure that the 4000 is refering to the neon color which I believe was a Hot Topic exclusive (along with the blue Nevermind and red unplugged). So I cant figure out where the cream color came from and how many copies were pressed. Anyone know? http://img147.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=580463368_IMG_1775_122_219lo.JPG'> http://img221.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=047507726_330621738006_122_950lo.jpg'>
  11. I just grabbed 10 records and put them on a digital scale. They weighed just over 7 lbs. So shipping 1250 records would be around 900lbs. It might not cost a million bucks to ship 900 lbs of product, but its added cost to this process. I wasnt insinuating that shipping the records would cost thousands of dollars. My point was that there are so many little things that end up chipping away from profit. Now for sure, I will kindly fuck off.
  12. Does the hourly wage paid to all employees who worked on this reissue not factor into the cost of doing business anymore? And since when did a profit of $10K become so astronomical? So when did this project go into motion. Sometime in October? So from October to March its about 5 months. A $10K profit( subtract employee wages) over 5 months of working on this reissue does not cry "rape" at all. I guess owning a business and trying to turn a profit is no longer the American way. The new business model is Break Even and nothing more. And it just so happens that this reissue is selling really well. But what about all the other slower selling records that sit around for months or years. What if SRC only sold 500 copies? Then they have to sit and wait to turn a profit as they hope the rest sell over time. I know this argument is just going around in circles but I'm willing to bet that nobody here would be willing to invest $10-$15K on a project if they only had the potential to make $1-$5K profit. I think $10K is a very reasonable profit margin for a company who put up $12+K upfront on top of whatever it cost to employ people to complete this project. Remember, these weren't sold prior to production. So this release could've been a flop and SRC would be sitting on a pile of records. Now as requested earlier..... I am going to kindly fuck off.
  13. Oh no! Say it aint so.....am I guilty of a typo? Shit! I cant believe that I accidentally put an "s" on the end of the word "vinyl", I'll be sure to "Fuck off" because this MASSIVE mistake I made. I'm well aware that the plural for vinyl is in fact vinyl. I sincerely apologize for being such a fucking moron. Unfortunately, I still havent got a masters degree in message board tying.
  14. No, I was refering to the cost of shipping bulk records from the manufacturer to the distributor. I know its not a boat load of money, but its just another added cost to the process.
  15. I'm kinda shocked that people think that $19.99(Subscription price) -$21.99 is over charging. If they were asking $29.99 for this, then yes, I'd agree that they are over charging. But you really have to consider that this is an extemely limited pressing (500 green + 500 black). So 1000 records at $21.99 = $21990 Now, subtract the cost of: the plastics for the vinyl the cost of pressing set up charge the lables on the vinyl shrinkwrap sleeves labor cost in organizing the pressing shipping costs the bands cut the labels cut? paypal/credit card fee's (3%) ect, ect, ect In the end.....how much profit are they really making off this run of 1000? Do you expect SRC to break even on this? I guess I just dont think that the price is unreasonable. And in the end, you'll have a record that hold its value since its a very limited release. If you ever want to sell it down the road, you should be able to easily get your money back and possibly make a couple bucks too. Would you rather have one copy of an unlimited run at $14.99 or have one copy out of of 500 for $21.99? I'll take the limited edition for an extra $7 But then again....I went a little overboard with this hum release. I initially bought the full subscription just for the hum record. Then I bought the black and the green. And now I'm broke.
  16. So they didnt get pushed back to April? You would think that if were a software glitch, it would've been fixed by now but it still says April, Besides that, did they announce the 1-10 subscriptions yet? I ordered the full subscription within minutes of it going on sale. They stated that they were going to announce after each pre order. Should I just assume that I wasnt one of the first 10 people to order the subscription?
  17. Thanks so much for posting the link to this video. I never knew it existed. I know Stern loved the song and he's talked about their appearance on the show many times, but I've never actually heard the audio....let alone seeing the video., until now!
  18. $20? Sounds like a teal to me, considering I just paid $50 for the Incesticide RSD vinyl.
  19. I have a MINT condition, unopened copies of the 2012 Record Store Day release of Nirvana's Incesticide (Limited Edition #'ed). 200g Virgin Vinyl, 12" x 2 LP, 45 Rpm I'm looking to trade it for either: an unopened copy of the 2011 RSD release of Hormoaning an unopened copy of Nivana Unplugged (Red Vinyl). Maybe an unopened copy of the 2011 RSD release of Nirvana Nevermind the Singles Box Set...I'm not sure yet. I will consider other Nirvana vinyl trades as well. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I'm sure my newbie status will scare many people away, but If anyone is interested in trade, I will give my Ebay user ID just to show that I do have some past internet transactions. I will also give my expressobeans ID so you can see my transactions there which are honor system transactions.
