  1. I used to post in this thread pretty frequently a few years ago. Looks like it slowed down a bit since then. I figured I'd post my story here anyway because this is a wrestling thread on a music forum.

If anybody watches/is familiar with Progress Wrestling and knows who Toni Storm is, she is using my music as her entrance theme now.

Progress sent out a message on their Facebook a month or so ago saying they were looking for Indy artists for music that they could use in promo/video packages and potentially entrance themes. I got in touch and suggested a specific song to them but told them if there was anything on the album they liked to let me know.

A few days later, they told me Toni Storm picked one of the tracks as her entrance theme!

She came out to it at Progress Chapter 46 and it fucking ruled. She also used it in Orlando at Wrestlemania weekend during the first overseas show Progress has ever done. It's pretty fucking cool to be able to see one of the best women wrestlers in the world come out to the ring using music that I made.

Dana Fowler And The - Blood Suckers

/\ That's the song she picked.

    Horror Story

/\ It's off of this album

    I'm pretty stoked about it.

(also streaming on iTunes and Spotify, blah blah blah)

Thanks for reading this shilly post!

  2. I took part in the Rumble pool for the last 3 years, but I haven't posted here in forever so I didn't bother this year.

Did the same pool with some buddies locally. I pulled Roman, Kane, R-Truth and Lesnar as my entrants.

I pulled ROMAN and LESNAR and I still lost.

I figured out a great way to make Roman universally loved while watching the Rumble though. Promise everybody that they get 60 bucks if he wins. I was a huge Reigns fan for about 60 minutes.

  3. There is very little dynamic range on the entire album.

Sandstrom's drums are oddly distorted purposely on most of the tracks.

I find myself saying constantly "if they hadn't done that, this song would be awesome" A good example of this is the first minute of Thought is Blood.

If you told me War on the Palaces was a B-Side from The International Noise Conspiracy's Armed Love, i'd probably believe you.

The "Murder murder murder murder murder murder KILL KILL KILL" in Francafrique line is lame.

366 sounds like they said "we need a song that sound like it's off of TSOPTC"

That being said, this album is pretty decent.

Dawkins Christ, Thought is Blood, and Old Friends / New War are all standouts.

If you're comparing this to TSOPTC in really any form, you're being unrealistic.

  4. Fuck. I really wish that news hadn't gone public. Save that shit for the day after Mania.

i think the "Is he staying or going" issue was an added layer of intrigue to the match on Sunday. To me, it opened up the possibility of Vince sitting ringside for the match and possibly going the "screwjob" route, which would have been really interesting. Still, a lot of people are saying that this news brought them back to being interested in 'Mania, so i'm sure WWE made the right move.

I'm with both of you. I wish it hadn't gone public, but it makes sense business-wise for them to talk about it.

I had Lesnar at like a 75% chance of going over. With the announcement that pushes it to 95% for me.

Worst case scenario (and thankfully not very likely): Reigns wins. no shenanigans. He just wins as a face. Rollins' music hits. He cashes in and loses. Reigns reigns supreme, brotherbrotherbrotherrrrr.

  5. The Rumble seemed kinda poorly put together.

They had to have known the crowd (especially in fucking Philly) was going to turn on the match after Bryan got eliminated.

Why not avoid that and keep him until final four?

Whatever. It was disappointing, but I don't get the huge backlash. There is so much other fucking killer wrestling out there. The Indy's have been on fire the last couple years and NJPW is killing it too.

If anybody has AXS (used to be HDNet), they have a New Japan English commentated show every Friday night that's a good introduction.

Or watch RoH's weekly free show on their website. This week is Alberto Del Rio vs Christopher Daniels.

  6. These have blended together the last few years. I know I pulled Rusev last year, but can't remember who else.

I know I've also pulled Rey in one of these. It seemed abnormal to want to cheer for him. And I believe I pulled JBL as well. As much as it sucked to know you pulled a dud, the JBL from commentary to ring, to immediate elimination, to back on commentary was hilarious.
