I didn't imply that you said they were better than Circa... I said it was surprising to hear a Circa fanatic state that BMTH lyrics are "really" good. It still is surprising to me. I love this band, but the lyrics are nowhere near poetic, or "good" in the sense of artistic value. I think it's funny to hear him screaming about pissing on girls and how fucked up he is. It's party music for me. I really got a kick out of you referencing "It Was Written In Blood" as a shining example, because I honestly feel that those lyrics are laughibly bad. Don't get me wrong, I fucking love the song. When the bass line kicks in and drives those verses, my dick always gets hard.
But if you want me to compare them to "bands in the same realm," I will. Converge, Norma Jean, Botch... these bands all have superior lyrics to BMTH. Even Slipknot writes better lyrics.
I enjoy debating music, so don't take me too seriously. I'm sitting at work with nothing better to do.
Converge and Botch in the same realm as BMTH? Hell no.

This one especially though. It just sounds like they took two completely unrelated words and just put them together. Like all of those "X the Y" bands that make no sense whatsoever.
-
I had never noticed that and the sounds have almost no similarity.
What even is modern baseball? As opposed to vintage baseball? This name really pisses me off.
-
I have a hard time taking this band seriously because of their name. It just screams "American Football fanboys". I'll probably get around to checking them out at some point though.

Jesus. Tera Melos is good, but 18 bucks just for the LP? They're not even big or anything.

For anyone who missed out on the first pressing, Scatter The Ashes will be out on Holy Roar next month. Get em before they're gone. They WILL sell out.

2nd Pressing. First pressing on Purgatory Records.
500 x Vinyl LP in gatefold sleeve.
100 x Translucent Orange
100 x Ultra Clear w/ Blood Haze
300 x Red/Brown/Black Tri-Colour.The shipping isn't cheap from the UK to US, but I think it's worth it for something this limited. Hell, international shipping there is less than standard US shipping from Southern Lord.

20 bucks. They've been selling it on their tour lately.

Oh that it sexy.

I'm okay with it.

I got confirmation a couple days ago and it still just says package processed or whatever.
-
Why is my order taking so long? I was definitely one of the first people to preorder this record.
-
Why can't you like it?
-
Glad I pulled the trigger early.
-
Lost was awesome. Did not like the ending.
-
I don't think they ever left.
-
Finally got my shipping confirmation!
-
Metal Blade hasn't updated my order or anything. It still just says payment received.
-
Ordered.

I don't know if it says more about him or the band. For one thing, every album cover he's ever done has boobies on it. I guess that makes him awesome. But this...

John Baizley is some kinda strange.
-
Is...is that really birdshit on the cover?
-
To be able to write those riffs and those lyrics is incredible.
-
That Within is definitely my favorite. I guess that's a given though being as Geert is my favorite as well.

Except Botch and Converge are on the more hardcore and chaotic side of metalcore. And they cater to a completely different demographic.
