Vinyl pre-orders for 'Stormchasers' are up now! http://www.victorymerch.com/store/luckyboysconfusion
does the tour-only variant mean that they are going on a US tour??

Preorder is up!
http://www.victorymerch.com/store/luckyboysconfusion
$16.98 for an LP, or $24.98 bundle package with tee-shirt. (+ shipping)
for 17.95 with Prime shipping
Variants:Blue with black smoke: 300 copies pressed (exact number 296)
[secret tour-only variant]: 200 copies pressed (exact number ??)Black: 500 copies pressed (exact number 548)
Interesting thing is the tour-only variant. Does that mean LBC is going on tour outside of Chicago?? hopefully.
Album is great. Definitely a grower for me, as I don't really listen to this genre anymore. Check it out on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, etc. Hopefully this sells well so they decide to press their older albums. Stubhy and co, if you're reading this, press Growing Out of It on vinyl! Actually, just press them all. And all the Insecurities EPs. And Shock Stars. And Super Happy Fun Club. And AM Taxi (the releases that weren't pressed already)

anyone know what images they have on the gatefold on the 1st press?
-
when does this sale end?
edit: oops, nevermind. Didn't see you said until the end of the month! I'm checking out some of the bands and really digging them!

New song streaming: http://www.stereogum.com/1891619/kishi-bashi-hey-big-star/franchises/premiere/, it's also on Spotify
Also, I was bummed that I missed the VIP version because of the 7". I just noticed that JNR are selling the 7" alone for $8 to VIP members.

Doesn't look like it has the end credits instrumental version of the theme or "The Hero of Canton"
-
dang, missed the VIP edition. Hopefully those bonus piano tracks will be released digitally as well.

Like EVDKTL and the Life of A Match 7", I think they will keep pressing this in limited quantities until demand dies down. The 2nd press of EVDKTL took a while to sell out, so we probably won't see a third pressing, while the 7" is still available.
Also, people are ragging on the demos, but I've been listening to them non-stop since I got the download code, and they are incredible.

I apologize if this was stated before, but is there any chance that vault releases will get released individually later without all the bells and whistles? I would be happy with just the record on black with no book or DVD
-
Just got an email from SRC. 15% off all orders over $45 today. Code: easter15

Mine surprisingly arrived today in great shape. #1215 and also came with two booklets.
Got two booklets as well. Someone better have lost their job for that colossal blunder.

when i pressed my first record (the Mike Felumlee / Dan Andriano split), one of the first things i made sure i did was confirm the correct lyrics so i could make a proper insert. originally it was released as a CD on Double Zero Records, and it did come with liner notes, but no lyrics. all of the lyrics i found online over the years were way off, and as somebody who enjoys reading along to lyrics as i'm listening, i made it my mission to get that done.
every record i've put out so far, i've made sure to include the lyrics in the physical insert. there was one instance where the artist specifically didn't want the lyrics physically printed, so to compromise i included them as part of the digital booklet included in the download code.
that is awesome. definitely checking out these releases

So I already received a notification from Amazon that this has shipped... Delivery estimated for the 18th even though I ordered it Prime, so I'm not too sure whats going on.
Fingers crossed!
Keep us updated on what edition it is! I'm sure it's the Super Value edition with no booklets, but you never know

Wasn't the deluxe one around $100 and for RSD?
it was $60 according to my friend who has it and it was not an RSD exclusive. They just re-released it for RSD one year.

I love collecting records.
I used to collect CDs back when I was younger. I loved going through the liner notes when I listened to them. Ever since I started collecting records instead of CDs, the one thing I miss is the fact that most records don't come with liner notes. Sure, the artwork is huge and beautiful--but only the front cover, not all the sweet pics that would be a CD booklet. And sometimes they come with a 10" x10" lyric sheet. And expensive deluxe editions may come with booklets. It's even more apparent now because they are pressing vinyl versions of many of the CDs I had in the 90s. They come in fancy colored vinyl, but fail to include IMO the one huge thing that makes non-mp3 listening worthwhile...the ability to leaf through a booklet while listening.
I wish all records came with liner notes, even if it the same size as the CDs ones. All CDs used to come with them. Why can't they just print some extra and include them with the vinyl records?
Okay, rant over.
-
so it looks like this is not the deluxe art edition? Just the standard?
-
I hope they press the new 'Pippin'. I have the original version of it, but I just love the new versions.
-
Looking at the Hot Topic thread, I guess they put the censored version of 'What's My Age Again' on their pressings. Hopefully that's not the case here.
These sound like they are using a different mastering for their pressings? Can anyone confirm? Or were these Kevin Gray masterings the same as previous releases
-
wonder how these will sound compared to the MTS releases. Doesn't everyone say Enema sounds really bad on all pressings?

Disney really knocked this box set out of the park. 16 records in total, all 180 gram, plus the bonus 10" Skeleton Dance/Three Little Pigs. The box itself is very nice cloth material and super sturdy as well. All 8 albums have separate download codes for them on one sheet. I can try to take some photos later, I haven't had a chance to spin yet since opening on Christmas.
Are the versions of those tracks on the 10" identical to the Skeleton Dance/Three Little Pigs that are includes on the main records?
-
I really hope Disney releases a set like this but for their movie soundtracks. Not picture discs

Who is this turd?
He's not even marking it up that much. How is this even worth it?? He paid $40 for it with shipping from Mondo, and is selling it for $65. After Ebay and Paypal fee's, he'll make less than $10. What a waste of time

Since it's 2xLP, it would be cool if one record was orange and the other was starburst.
This is so tempting. I stopped collecting but may need to get this....
