Brooklyn's Journalism has just put up their debut album Faces for pre-order on cassette. It's a limited run of 100 units on printed white shells with a 4-panel J card.

1. Indiemerch variant is a 1,500 unit pressing for the band. I imagine they'll take these on the road too.

 

2. MerchNow blue/red variant is a 500 unit pressing. Once they sell out, MerchNow goes to 2xLP BLACK [500]

 

3. The purple/green as seen on Amazon is for US retail (it'll go to indie stores too) and is a run of 3,000 units

 

4. The European pre-order variant is a run of 1,600 - HERE

Yeah a $30.17 "bundle" which is the cheapest option to get the record is ridiculous. I don't see any reason that there shouldn't be  a $15-17 option. Also and honestly the reality is it is barely a "bundle" because most labels just throw in a download code or CD free of charge.

 

Thanks for the feedback.  Vinyl-only and CD-only items will go up for purchase on Tuesday 8/19 (the same day that the digital pre-order goes up.)

I'm inclined to believe that the band was not aware of this Brainstorm release. The hand is actually a real place in Chile - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mano_del_Desierto - so technically it's fair game.

Damn this is crazy. I was here refreshing on True Widow and never even saw it become available.

Loved this band/record at the time. Not sure if I've got enough nostalgia in me to drop the necessary cash. That said I'm sure it will sell just fine, cause it IS awesome!

I thought I had ordered the splatter version and the standard black came... haven't emailed Jessie but I may. Sorta bummed about that, but there was also no indication of the color/variant in the receipt or purchase confirmation. I suppose I just missed out and pre-ordered too late.

is this real life? just ordered. 

I just purchased a copy from Bull Moose... it said the expected ship date is after RSD, so we'll see what happens. $38 + Free Shipping.

For anyone that may have pre-ordered vinyl we wanted to advise you that due to some problems with shipping, a portion of the orders containing the picture disc or red/grey smoke pressings may be slightly delayed. This was out of the hands of everyone involved. The vinyl will arrive tomorrow or Monday at Merchnow and will begin shipping again immediately.
