I did the LED mod with the Dioder from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50192365/) There's a plastic cover that goes over the bulbs and circuit board/strip that I removed to help with the clearance of the platter. It takes a little bit of messing around with but basically there's a small plastic tab that you need to push in and from there you can pull the cover off. Then I taped 2 uncovered LED strips on the body of the turntable, under the platter. I put the remaining two around the turntable. One is underneath facing the front and the other is underneath facing the back.
