  1. Kinda cool that they're sending them out early. I haven't gotten one yet, though with my luck I was probably #101
  2. Agreed, Out On The Town is so great. Though I think my favorite to come out from them recently is Sight Of The Sun. I thought it was a perfect mesh of A&I and SN. I bet What The Fuck would sound great recorded too but I'm just happy to have a professionally recorded live version on the new EP.
  3. Nate was super into Kanye before working on Some Nights and managed to land Bhasker who produced a couple Kanye albums (808s and MBDTF) so of course it was going to be bombastic. The autotuning is weird but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I hope they go a completely different direction with album #3 though instead of more arena-pop.
  4. Really? Some Nights-era fun. and The Format are hardly similar outside of voice, and even Nate has developed a more confident style of singing far from his I+L moping. It's easy to prefer one over the other. I love Some Nights and everything Nate has touched but Some Nights is not everyone's style. Which is fine, but it is lame when people trash SN just for being different ("mainstream"). That album is awesome.
  5. New big update: http://theformat.com/post/74201100452/major-vinyl-update
  6. Yeah $25 plus $10 shipping means I'm just gonna wait for when I can get it at a store.
  7. Preorder is up: http://www.fosterthepeople.com/us/preorder
  8. Strange, their coachella 2011 set was awesome. Also, it looks like the album preorder will be tomorrow on their website http://www.fosterthepeople.com/us/coa
  9. I am very anxious for this album so I will be keeping an eye out for anything about a PO and update the post. I think it will be a great sophomore album. I've read some interviews with Mark and he said the album was going to be pretty crazy and not what people expect their follow-up to sound like. I'm excited!
  10. “Supermodel” is the upcoming second studio album by American indie pop band Foster The People. The album is scheduled for release on digital retailers on March 14, 2014 via Columbia Records ans Sony Music Entertainment. It comes preceded by the lead single “Coming of Age“, premiered on January 13. Tracklist “Are You What You Want to Be” “Ask Yourself” “Coming of Age” “Nevermind” “The Angelic Welcome of Mr. Jones” “Best Friend” “A Beginner’s Guide to Destroying the Moon” “Goats In Trees” “The Truth” “Fire Escape” “Tabloid Super Junky” Preorder: http://www.fosterthepeople.com/us/preorder
  11. I doubt it but out of curiosity what did you pay? Cause orange was $25 and black is $15 ($10 on sale in the online store)
  12. I second this, I've been checking a couple times a day. Really excited about this one!
  13. The Format ‏@theformat No official confirmation on the DP vinyl delay, but looks like we maybe be able to start shipping by the end of next week-week of the 20th.
  14. Their EP is phenomenal. So stoked they have an album coming out already. Will definitely be picking this up.
  15. Dan from FBR says the UK/US are the same and they're both 12".
  16. Nope, I contacted FBR store, FBR merch's twitter, and the Studio Boutique store and never received a response from anyone about what the actual size is.
  17. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jack-039-s-Mannequin-Everything-In-Transit-Andrew-McMahon-Vinyl-LP-/261369043372?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 This is not a horrible price. It's not awesome either, but unsealed EITs do go for about this much right now. It's cheaper than the one that went up to $150 on auction that ended on new years day.
  18. Actually..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Interventions-Lullabies-by-The-Format-Vinyl-Record-2014-New-Ships-Worldwide-/271351689376?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item3f2dd230a0 No idea if that's orange or black though Also on Hello Merch's DP listings it says NOW SHIPS MID TO LATE JAN DUE TO PRODUCTION DELAYS
  19. Sent my friends the site, a few of them have signed up and love it. Is there a way to add yourself to a show that someone else has already created and then have it show up in your own list? Edit; Just kidding I see the Add To Your History now, which I assume does exactly that
  20. From Sam: Hello! Unfortunately, there were some etching issues on the Dog Problems vinyl that have caused a bit of a delay in production. We’re being told they should hopefully be in our hands by the middle of January. Sorry for the last second information, we only just received it yesterday. We’ll pass along more updates as they come along. On the bright side, if you’ve placed a vinyl order that does not contain Dog Problems, it should have already shipped earlier this week, or will be shipping on schedule tomorrow.
