All I know is that in an Against Me! related article, Scott, claimed absolutepunknews.org was the source of the Gabel as an anti-Semite rumors. That's libel and he should know better. Having personal beef with someone and libeling an online community that's got nothing to do with anything, going out of your way to shit talk me and my companions, that's just fucking dumb. So, to conclude, I'm joining the chorus of "fuck you!"s to Scott. We'd like a written apology, and a retraction, but rolling off a cliff would do.

Whilst that's true, oftentimes whether a band retains support from a record label will depend on how many units they sell. Ditto their future recording budget, advances etc. If they lose that support it can become unsustainable for them to remain a band. being in a band is a risky venture? what a revelation.

If its not how the record is meant to be heard why is this the version that reviewers are using to write their reviews and form their opinions? when is the last time production was a major part of a review? (barring the '59 Sound,s eeing as the production worries came about mostly when *gasp* the album leaked)

just because of this, i'm gonna go support my local record store and pick up a copy of illusion of safety on vinyl. this is silly, leaks happen, people still buy things. welcome to 2007.

I've got, in a plain sleeve, a triple LP set of the White Stripes live in Las Vegas. It's not a bootleg, as I got it at the radio station I used to work at. I can't find the pressing info on deadformat and see no listings on Ebay. Any idea of the pressing info and value? cheers!

"15 different colors of vinyl" is a business model. It's not one that's sustainable, but it is one. Clearly it's going to be one large money grab until the bubble bursts. There is nothing that we as consumers and fans can do about that other than insulate ourselves as best as we can. I definitely agree. I just hope some people have ideas as to what to do next when the bubble bursts. i'd be really curious to hear from virgil, var, people like that.
