Did you guys get shipping confirmation? I ordered mine a week ago and nothing.

He put this out digitally last year and now it is getting a 10" release. 4 colors, pretty limited. I know a lot of you liked his other Christmas album, so you might wanna check this out if you haven't already.

I didn't get into thrice until around the time they went on hiatus, but I don't really care for anything before vhiessu and I think they got better with each album. I still spin M/m at least once a week.

Got my black deluxe. It's a little beat up around the edges but seems fine compared to what some of you are saying. I was bummed about the white sleeves but oh well. The records sound great aside from some popping on side D. So glad to finally have this!

I love Matt MacDonald but I can't get into this. Looks cool tho.

Oh man I never play 7"s but those look cool. And Softer to Me is way underrated, probably one of their best from the first two albums. Might have to scoop these up. Excited to see what else they have coming up.

Man I would love it if Qu got pressed.

This is streaming on NPR now, and I really like it. There's some similarities to the Civil Wars, but it's a lot poppier. I definitely am digging Matt Morris's influence.

I think this is my new favorite album. I really loved Brother, Sister but this is everything I wanted from mewithoutYou. Lilac Queen is such a jam.

i stayed up until midnight but then i couldn't remember why... i woke up and saw the email notification from run for cover and picked up the deluxe.

I just received an e-mail from Copperlily saying there's been a delay in getting the records pressed, but that SMLXL will be helping them press the record AND for those who pre-ordered the album (and I'd have to assume it wasn't many, given my next statement) they are giving each person a test pressing in addition to the regular vinyl...and sending out a free CD version of it in the next week.  

Got the same email. That's super cool of them! Can't wait.

Working on a mix of Ixora and Twin together in Pro Tools now. I guess for the people who will never be able to play the two at the same time...but also because I was curious. There's some artistic license here...songs like Erase and Like I Want You have versions that are mixed SO wildly different that I have to compensate here and there to make sure things don't sound like complete jumbled shit. But so far...it's really fascinating. Aaron mixed a lot of elements on Twin to complement Michael Brauer's mix. Elements that are in the right channel in Mr. Brauer's mix are in the left on Aaron's, and so forth. Plus, it's clear that Aaron has a lot of fun producing and messing with sounds.

 

Is there anyone who would be interested in hearing this? Or is everyone waiting to complete the quadraphonic experience on their own? FWIW: I tried the quad thing on two big systems today on two CD players made by the same company, pressing play from a single remote. One CD player started quicker than the other every time. So there's a lot of timing involved in the live playback. And then you just hope the clocks don't drift...

I'd love to hear this!
