Yeah this is what I was thinking too. I always read they recorded to tape but there were digital elements from there. For anyone concerned about AAA vinyl go listen to the Volto LP.

It's not different mastering. Those were pressed from the same metal parts as the standard release (which is way friggin' expensive too!). I know because I've owned multiple copies of both. Same exact matrix info all the way down to the handwriting and font size. While we're wishing upon a star, I'd like to see their entire catalogue get a 45rpm audiophile treatment from a reissue group like Analogue Productions. Maybe mastered by Kevin Grey. That would be the holy grail of wax!

If by "close" you mean having a CD ripped onto vinyl. Which is, to my best assessment, pointless. I mean no disrespect, but I hope you all are aware that is how these are being produced. And who knows what production methods are being employed at the pressing plant. You know, I've been following this thread for awhile and I am astonished anyone is willing to pay more than $5 for these "bootleg" copies. These are, at best, novelty items.

Do you know which pressing has the dark and which has the light? Also, anyone have info on the dead wax etchings for the "A" and "B" pressings? Thanks!
