  1. I just called the local hot topic, which in the past you would be lucky to find any more than 15 records total at any given time, looking for a few titles. the manager said they just received 2 boxes of nothing but vinyl but wasn't sure what was in them yet. He then said that he was definitely going to make vinyl a much bigger priority for the holidays and the future in general at his store so to call back later this week once they had the new vinyl section set up. Stoked!

If you don't mind me asking, which location did you speak to?

  2. Just got an email about this preorder if anyone is interested:

    Red City Radio Preorder Update

    Hey everyone,

You're getting this email if you ordered a Red City Radio - Titles record from us. We first want to apologize for not getting you this update sooner. Although the records were delayed, it was only slightly and they are currently on their way to us. We will have them the first week of November and they will begin shipping as soon as we receive them.

If you ordered the variant with the hand-screened jacket, we have good news. The jackets have already been screened and will ship along with the rest of the records. There will be no additional waiting!

And for those of you who ordered the RCR/Pentimento bundle, we have good news for you as well. The Pentimento records are already in so your orders will ship immediately, too!

If you have any questions or need to change your shipping address, please email customer [at] paperandplastick [dot] com. For those of you attending Fest this year, please stop by our table at registration and say hello! We always enjoy seeing you guys! Thank you all for your continued patience with this and we look forward to getting you your records soon.

    Cheers,
    Matt Delisle / P+P

  3. I loved White Crosses. It's certainly a departure from previous releases and no where near the same band that released Reinventing, but it was still a really solid record.

Strong lyrical content from LJG more than makes up for a bit more polish than the previous releases had on them and the changes in lineup that affected the "sound" overall.

Agreed. I wish Warren was playing drums on White Crosses to give it more urgency, but still good nonetheless.
